Allegretto Op. 50, No. 22

Papillon No. 22 in D Major$$$$$$This Allegretto in D Major, Op. 50, No. 22 by Mauro Giuliani is part of Giuliani's Le Papillon pour guitare seule, Op. 50.

This Allegretto Op. 50, No. 22 is appropriate for Grade 4 guitar students.

It has an A-B-A' musical form :

• Section A (measures 1 to 8) : in the main key of D Major
• Section B (measures 9 to 16) : again in D Major, alternating between the dominant and tonic harmonies
• Section A' (measures 17 to 24) : very similar to section A but with a different ending

Please note that in some editions, the first two notes are given as sixteenth notes .

However, the original edition clearly shows these first two notes to be eighth notes.

Also, in measure 15, some editions put a C#5 as the first note of voice 1.

However, the original edition clearly has an E5.$$$$$$Duration : 00:55$$$$$$Source : Mauro Giuliani, Le Papillon pour guitare seule, Op. 50$$$$$$iwg-PDXxigM
